Today kicks off our 2013 coverage of the National Stationery Show, I can hardly believe that this marks our 5th year blogging about NSS! I’m so pleased to begin with Tabletop Made, they are making their debut at the show in BOOTH NUMBER 1379. I’ve had the pleasure of doing some consulting work over the past two years with the two lovely ladies behind Tabletop Made, based in Santa Barbara, CA. I’ve loved watching the evolution of their business and think that the timing to exhibit at NSS couldn’t be anymore perfect.

Be sure to check back regularly or subscribe to our feed; many more sneak peeks and our annual “Pre-Show Picks” are to come!

shop: the social type

January 24, 2013  /  featured shop, letterpress, nyigf

I’ve had my eye on The Social Type since their beautifully designed letterpress + foil cards hit shops a couple of years ago. In fact, we spotlighted their Stationery Show debut, in some of our pre-show picks in 2012! This week they launched their drop dead gorgeous online store and I can’t stop admiring all the pretty goods.

The canary’s are gearing up for NYIGF next week! If you’ll be at the show definitely stop by and say hello. We’re in Booth No. 4150 and you can take a peek at our newsletter that went out this morning, we have a great line up of designers this show!

studio glimpse: farewell paperie

October 11, 2012  /  farewell paperie, letterpress, seattle, studio glimpse

Beautiful sampling of custom designs by Farewell Paperie.

Envelopes and assorted inventory – paper lover’s paradise!

Pretty art collection.

Where the magic happens! Don’t you love the color test prints in the background?

Jen is pulling down shades to protect their product from dust and fading – so clever.

Sir Harley, resident cutie canine

I feel super fortunate to have met Jen and Lisa of Farewell Paperie at the Tradeshow Bootcamp session in LA this last February. I really hit it off with both of these lovely ladies and their line of paper goods is a brilliant mix of laugh out loud funny wit and just plain gorgeous design.

Farewell Paperie just relocated their studio headquarters to Seattle, WA earlier this summer; their studio is located in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle and is in such an awesome space!

I had the pleasure of taking a little peek around last month and meeting studio dog extraordinaire, Harley, seriously – this guy is a charmer. Keep your eyes on this talented duo, I’m sure there will be some fun open studio events to come and definitely more fabulous product on the horizon. Thanks again, L & J!

{2012 national stationery show} sneak peek: egg press

May 14, 2012  /  letterpress, national stationery show, pacific nw pride

It’s safe to say that Egg Press knows their stuff, they’ve been on the scene for over a decade and are well known for their iconic designs. I’ve been a groupie pretty much since the beginning; I think that I still have a “Good Egg” card somewhere in my archives, the moniker they used in the early days.
Lucky for all of us, they are introducing some stellar new products and designs at NSS, including some very handsome die cut ornament cards for the holidays. I’m particularly excited about the new notebooks, loving those repeat patterns! Visit Egg Press in Booth No. 1658

{2012 national stationery show} fig. 2 design studio

May 4, 2012  /  cards, letterpress, national stationery show

Just a bit of a taste of Fig. 2 Design Studio’s new collection! I am salivating at the mere thought of visiting Claudia’s booth again this year. I was incredibly impressed in 2011 and I’m confident that Fig. 2’s sophomore efforts won’t disappoint. Here’s a hint: more neon, gorgeous foil, festive confetti and a debut gift wrap line!
Run, don’t walk to Fig. 2 Design Studio’s Booth at the start of NSS. I guarantee it will be the place to be – Booth No. 1671
