ThinkInkStudioCOR_0020Today officially kicks off our sixth (6!) year of National Stationery Show coverage and I have some true gems to share with you all between now and the opening show day on May 18th, 2014!

I had the pleasure of meeting Bambs, of Think & Ink Studio, at Paper Camp in DC last fall and I was really impressed with her beautiful line. Think & Ink is making their debut at NSS and I’m delighted to give you a peek of what will be on display. I’m crazy about the color palettes and all of the fun new designs. Visit Think & Ink Studio in Booth No. 2067!

Napkins by Farewell PaperieTreat toppers and Invitations by Farewell PaperieParty cones by Farewell PaperieLoving the emergence of more and more modern partyware! Farewell Paperie really hit it out of the park with the debut of the Partywell Collection, lots of other great goodies such as drink tags, table numbers and coasters that I didn’t capture. I had the pleasure of receiving a sneak peek of Thimblepress‘ Push-Pop Confetti and adorable party hat before NSS, Ula had a little too much fun with the confetti! And we are smitten with The Great Lakes’ new balloon sets, they look stunning inflated. We’re planning to get them filled with helium for our show at NY Now later this month, come check them out if you’ll be at the show!

It’s safe to say that my NSS posts have taken an excruciatingly long time to get edited and out in the world. Apologies for the giant delay, I’m still plugging along with more posts. I know I missed out on a slew of stellar birthday cards, so forgive me if I missed your booth or one of you favorites, however these seven are particularly fetching!

I’m dreadfully behind in my National Stationery Show blog posts, but am dedicated to getting everything posted in the next two weeks. First up, is one of my all time favorites: gift wrap! As with all of my 2013 NSS posts, I fear I may have missed out on some awesome product as I only had about 2 hours to take photos and rush through the show floor. I was super impressed with so many of the booths, product and debuts. Kudos to all of the exhibitors. More to come soon!

fancy this friday: chris sasaki for red cap cards

June 14, 2013  /  fancy this friday, national stationery show, new releases, red cap cards

chrissasakipressAll of us at C&C are delighted by the addition of artist Chris Sasaki to the Red Cap Cards line up. We had the pleasure of debuting these designs (and more) at the National Stationery Show last month and our buyers were equally enthusiastic about these beauties. How perfect would the bears card be for Father’s Day?

Sugar-Paper Sugar Paper Gold & Pink Goods | Crow and Canary Blog Sugar Paper Notebooks | Crow and Canary Blog Sugar Paper Holiday Frame | Crow and Canary BlogI can easily get lost in Sugar Paper’s enviable collection most days, but seeing some of their new designs makes me wonder how anyone makes a decision – personally, I want it all! Chelsea and Jamie set out to create a “small release” for NSS this year and ended up adding 88 new products; they are simultaneously amazing, possibly a bit deranged and surely sleep deprived. We can’t wait to fawn over everything in BOOTH No. 1943-1945.

sneak peek: bison bookbinding & letterpress

May 16, 2013  /  letterpress, national stationery show, northwest, sneak peek

Bison-Letterpress Crow and Canary Blog | Bison Letterpress 1 Crow and Canary Blog | Bison Letterpress 2 Crow and Canary Blog | Bison Letterpress 3A bit of Pacific Northwest sneak peek love from Bison Bookbinding & Letterpress today. I’m fairly smitten with their gorgeous  constellation calendar, fun that the dates are seperated by astrological signs instead of boring old months. And I’m perpetually a fan of Bison’s collaborations with Karolin Schnoor, quite pleased to see that they’ve joined forces again. View their entire collection in BOOTH No. 1768.

I’m already an enormous fan of Claudia’s gift wrap collection and didn’t think it was even possible to up the ante this much, kudos! Do not miss all of their new designs, cards and custom too, debuting in BOOTH No. 1771.

NSS-Dear-Hancock Crow and Canary Blog | Dear Hancock Crow and Canary Blog | Dear Hancock 2Crow and Canary Blog | Dear Hancock 3I can’t tell you how excited I am about Dear Hancock’s new releases. Get a load of that paintbrush notepad, what a looker! The notepad is die cut with a screen printed neon pink design that references the decorative carvings found on woodworking tools, can’t wait to get my hands on that beauty! Their new “Monumental Cities” calendar is sure to be an absolute hit too, last year their debut desk calendar sold out, so wholesaler’s — you’d best order this one quickly. Find Dear Hancock in BOOTH No. 2052; rumor has it that a life size signature desk will be making an appearance!

9th-Letter-Press

9th Letter Press 1 | Crow and Canary Blog 9th Letter Press 3 | Crow and Canary Blog9th Letter PressToday’s sneak peek comes from the lovely ladies at 9th Letter Press in Winter Park, Florida. I was delighted to meet Isabel and Sheli at the 2012 Stationery Show and simply can’t believe how much their line has grown in such a short period of time. I’m a sucker for a good print and love that they’ve expanded into this category. Be sure to check out all of their loveliness in BOOTH No. 1754.
